Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China Ltd. (Comac) scored two sets of orders for its self-developed narrowbody C919 and ARJ21 regional jets on the opening day of the Singapore Airshow, giving the Chinese aircraft manufacturer a competitive boost in its bid to catch up with rivals Boeing Co. and Airbus S.E.
Tibet Airlines Co. Ltd. signed a deal to purchase 40 C919 and 10 ARJ21 planes, which would be high-altitude variants of the originals, state-owned Comac said Tuesday.
