According to a report courtesy of Daniel Taylor in the Athletic, Aston Villa are close to completing their first signing of the summer by securing an initial £14 million deal plus £2m in add-ons for Nottingham Forest defender Matty Cash – prompting many fans to swoon in excitement.
After securing Premier League survival by the skin of their teeth last season, Villa have now got to work with their first acquisition of the summer as Dean Smith’s side aim to stay in the top flight by the end of 2020/2021 campaign.
