Tottenham Hotspur: Daniel Levy 'might yet' sign Bournemouth striker Josh King, claims journalist - Bournemouth

According to an update courtesy of Bleacher Report journalist Dean Jones, Spurs ‘might yet’ land Bournemouth striker Joshua King if the saga drags on until deadline day, with the Lilywhites also reportedly monitoring Alexander Sorloth and Danny Ings as they continue their striker search.

Reliable Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold recently confirmed that a forward is at the top of chairman Daniel Levy’s priority list, with the likes of Andrea Belotti, Habib Diallo, Carlos Vinicius and Ings entering the conversation recently.

Sky Sports transfer guru Fabrizio Romano also stated that Spurs are definitely on the hunt for a striker, and now fellow journalist Jones has relayed that news whilst providing an update of his own.

Writing on Twitter, the Bleacher Report correspondent claims that both Sorloth and Ings are being looked into by Tottenham but both transfers are proving ‘tricky’. However, providing an update on Spurs’ pursuit of King, he hints that Levy may yet turn to the Bournemouth forward closer to deadline day if Spurs have failed to sign a centre-forward.

Valued at £14.4m by Transfermarkt, King has been heralded by former manager Eddie Howe as a player with ‘unique‘ pace and a ‘massive‘ attacking influence. Amassing 48 caps at international level whilst bagging 17 goals for Norway in that time, King also has proven experience on the biggest stages as well as the Premier League.

Indeed, the 28-year-old has bagged 48 goals in 161 English top flight appearances and could be a bargain striking addition for Spurs as the end of the transfer window looms, but it remains to be seen whether the Lilywhites prioritise landing his signature.
