Sunderland: Fans react to Jordan Willis’ ambitious aim for the rest of the season
The League One promotion race is the closest in the country as just six points separate leaders Rotherham from Fleetwood in eighth, with a number of teams holding games in hand over rivals.
Sunderland are in the fortunate position to be just three points off the top having played a game less than the Millers, so automatic promotion is very much within their control. However, rivals such as Peterborough have recently won six league games in a row, while Portsmouth have one defeat in 12, and therefore it promises to be a very closely-fought run-in to go up.
Although Sunderland have been flying recently with just one loss in 12 games it may not be enough to guarantee promotion and they need to sustain the current run if they are to achieve their goals. In response, defender Jordan Willis has stated that he aims to win all 13 remaining league games, including visits to promotion rivals Rotherham and Coventry, with the latter coming up soon.
These Sunderland supporters are in agreement with Willis, with some holding the view that his aim is a fairly obvious one.
Scary that’s all the games we have. Season has flown over. Fully capable of putting a good run together now

We’ve won 15 out of 31 games. To win 13 out of the last 13 isn’t impossible but it’s a tough ask!

I should think he does you know with that being a remit of his job

Wouldn’t be surprised if we won 14 with Parky in charge https://t.co/M3sHhB118u
