Stoke: Fans react to managerial update
Stoke City remain without a manager as they go into tonight’s game with West Brom in the Sky Bet Championship and will be looking to resolve that sooner rather than later.
The speculation over Nathan Jones’ future at the club had been going on for weeks and despite a couple of decent results in recent times, the Potters decided it best to let the former Luton man go.
They tried for Alex Neil over the weekend, then, in controversial circumstances and with Preston rebuffing any chances they had of getting him in emphatically, they’re now back to the drawing board.
Rob Dorsett from Sky Sports, then, has moved to try and shed some light on the situation and it seems as though the Potters are now looking elsewhere:
#scfc have moved on and won’t be pursuing their interest in #pnefc manager Alex Neil, I’m told. PNE threatened to report Stoke to the EFL for an illegal approach – I understand no such complaint has yet been lodged. Neil was one of a number of candidates on Stoke shortlist.

Who comes in remains to be seen, but plenty has been said on social media in light of this update, so let’s take a look at the best of the reaction:
Probably get another inexperienced manager on the cheap and hope it works out.

Stoke are terrible when it comes to managerial appointments most clubs have a new manager lined up when they sack the manager, not Stoke…God knows who we will end up with

Incredibly arrogant of us to think he would swap a possible promotion challenge for a certain relegation battle. Looks like will be working our way down the shortlist again like we did when we got rid of Hughes and end up somewhere on page 2.
