Charlton Athletic: Fans left seething after David Davis’ recent performance
A plethora of Charlton Athletic fans were left furious with what they had seen from David Davis on Saturday afternoon and took to Twitter to let him know exactly what they thought of his most recent outing for the club.
The 28-year-old, who joined the club from Birmingham City on loan in the January transfer window, failed to help stop the Addicks from being defeated 2-0 by Blackburn Rovers at The Valley and his individual match data did not necessarily make for pretty reading either.
According to WhoScored, Davis failed to register a shot or make a key pass, whilst he managed to make just two tackles and provide one clearance in the 90 minutes he was on the field which resulted in a poor match rating of just 5.97.
As mentioned, fans were furious with what they had seen from the midfielder throughout the game, with some stating that they would not be able to win their next Championship outing – which comes against Luton Town – with him in the starting XI.
Some could not even understand what he brought to the team, as one even asked why Davis was playing ahead of men such as Darren Pratley.
