Aston Villa fans take to Twitter in delight as Callum O’Hare grabs Carlisle winner
Aston Villa fans have got a lot of players in on-loan this season who they’re relying upon to get them to where they need to be. However, next season it could be some players that are currently spending time away from Villa Park on-loan who shine under Dean Smith, with one of those being the young Callum O’Hare.
Great to get the win at Brunton Park today, on a personal note absolutely buzzing to score the winner and my first professional goal
— Callum O’Hare (@CalOhare) 9 March 2019
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder left Villa Park for Brunton Park on a temporary basis in the recent January window and after five appearances in League Two without netting, the youngster stepped up to the plate yesterday to grab his first Carlisle goal. It was also his first senior goal in professional football for that matter, as the Cumbrian’s overcame Swindon Town 2-1 keeping themselves in the playoff spots.
If Cal O’Hare can make himself a Carlisle hero with plenty more goals between now and the end of the season then there really is no reason why the Villains wouldn’t give him a chance in their senior side in the Championship next season. Dean Smith will be keen to blood youth and get in players who he wants as opposed to second-hand Steve Bruce loanees, and when the squad places open up, O’Hare could be one of the starlets used to fill them.

The Villains have no doubt that O’Hare can make it to the very top and will enjoy checking in on him every weekend between now and the end of the season with Carlisle.
