Journalist tips Norwich City to sign Celtic's Ryan Christie in cut-price deal - Burnley

Norwich City could sign transfer target Ryan Christie for a cut-price fee this summer, according to The Celtic Way reporter Anthony Haggerty.

Christie’s Celtic contract expires at the end of the year and, with it seeming unlikely that he will agree fresh terms, the winger is already able to talk to suitors.

It looks as though the Premier League could be the Scotsman’s next destination, with newly-promoted Norwich and Burnley courting the 26-year-old.

Norwich boss Daniel Farke, who signed a new four-year deal earlier this week, is keen to bolster his attacking options having seen talisman Emiliano Buendia join Aston Villa for a club-record transfer fee.

Christie has scored 40 goals and contributed 41 assists in 143 Celtic appearances, so the Inverness-born star has shown his capabilities in the Scottish Premiership.

Can you guess the nationality of these big-money Celtic signings? First up, Massimo Donati.

Due to only having a matter of months remaining on his deal, Haggerty believes Celtic would do well to recoup a significant fee for Christie.

Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, Haggerty said: “If they get anywhere near £10m, they’ll have done really, really well. But I don’t see him as a £10m player.

“If Celtic can get anywhere between £8million and £10million, I think that would represent good value for money for a player like Christie.”
