Fulham: Club are ‘desperate’ to keep hold of Mitrovic
Journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed that Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic will be drumming up a lot of transfer ‘attention’.

The 28-year-old has 11 goals and two league assists for Marco Silva’s side this season in 17 matches played, while last year in the Championship, he terrorised defences and found the net 43 times from 44 league appearances.
Only three players in England’s top flight are ahead of Mitrovic on the goalscoring front, with Ivan Toney, Harry Kane and Erling Haaland occupying the top three spots.

Speaking on the Talking Transfers podcast, Bailey claimed that the striker will be one to watch in the summer and questioned what more he can achieve with the Cottagers.
He stated: “Aleksandar Mitrovic is going to get a lot of attention this summer.
“Fulham are desperate to keep him, but he’s getting to that point, what more can he do at Fulham?”
The Verdict: Clubs may come knocking
We believe that the future of Mitrovic could be one to look out for, as strikers who know where the net are quite often in demand.
TalkSport’s Darren Bent recently claimed that Mitrovic would ‘thrive‘ if he were to make a switch to west London rivals Chelsea.
With that in mind, let’s see how the Serbian compares to Kai Havertz, a player who typically operates as an attacking midfielder but is the most advanced for the Blues centrally.
In the past year on average, Mitrovic trumps the German on a goalscoring and creativity front, with 0.49 goals and 2.96 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes.
Havertz’s numbers come out at 0.42 and 2.71 respectively, so it’s no wonder Chelsea have issues finding the back of the net this season.
The Blues have scored 22 Premier League goals this season, with just seven teams having a lower tally than Graham Potter’s side. They’re lacking a traditional forward and judging by the stats, Mitrovic could fit the bill perfectly.
However, Fulham are three places and two points above Chelsea at the moment, so it could be argued it would be a step back for him in many ways, though if Bailey is correct, Silva could have a fight on his hands to keep his star forward.
