At this year’s World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Qatar, six projects from five countries won awards for their innovative approach in solving pressing education problems and having a positive social impact.

NaTakallam, a New York-headquartered social enterprise whose name means “we speak” in Arabic, was among the winners for its language learning services, which employ refugees as teachers.
