Sustainability-Oriented Strategies Key to Corporate Survival, Experts Say

Companies must have a sustainability-oriented strategy in order to survive in today’s world, which faces downward economic pressure, extreme weather patterns and intensified geopolitical tensions, according to experts at an environmental, social and governance (ESG) conference held recently.

“Green transition has created new strategic industries,” said Ma Weihua, a member of the United Nations’ SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Impact Global Steering Group and honorary chairman of China Social Enterprise and Impact Investing Forum at the 2023 ESG Ecological Conference held in South China’s Shenzhen from Nov. 28 to 29.
