Everton fans take to Twitter to beg Andre Gomes for a win
Everton fans have had it rough over the last few months. Marco Silva is one of the most under-pressure managers in the Premier League, although he’s been helped by the fact his side have had a 17-day break between fixtures. If they don’t win tonight at Cardiff the pressure will be on, and the fans are begging Andre Gomes to get them over the line.

In a season that has provided little high points and plenty of lows for the Toffees, one of the few highlights that they’ve had has been the form of their Barcelona loanee Andre Gomes. The Portuguese midfielder has proved to be more than capable of handling the tempo of the Premier League despite his inability to cope with the pressure that came with being a star at his parent club in Catalonia.
The Toffees will be desperate to make Gomes a permanent addition to their squad in the summer when his loan expires. More often than not the midfielder has been the man to steady the ship at Goodison Park and when the fans need someone to step up they look to him. Tonight’s game is going to be one of those games. Travelling to the Cardiff City Stadium is never easy and given that the Merseysiders have won just once in six games, the fans will be desperate for a bounce-back win.
